‘Cupani’ is the heirloom sweet pea every other sweet pea variety descends from — bicolor maroon-and-violet blooms with a scent strong enough to carry through a whole shop. Short stems and a short vase life mean it doesn’t ship far, so it’s a local-market specialty for us rather than a bulk export lot.
